Amanda Knox’s ex-boyfriend, Raffaele Sollecito, gave his first interview since they were released from jail. The interview, which aired Friday on Italian TV, discussed everything from reaching out to the victim’s family to what lies ahead for he and Knox.
In 2007, Sollecito and Knox were charged with the murder of Knox’s roommate, Meredith Kercher. Their sentences were overturned in early October and they have since gone their separate ways. Sollecito links the split to being “victims of criminal injustice and [their] relationship was overcome.” While they “are linked by circumstances,” Sollecito feels that they need to go their separate ways.
