The Greenville Avenue St. Patrick’s Day Parade is singularly the greatest annual Dallas event. This is a fact. Really, try to name something better than a local holiday which advocates drinking in the street.
Over the years, the St. Patrick’s Day parade has become so expensive, the city was almost forced to cancel this year’s bright green event, unless someone could fork over enough dough, reports CBS Local. Fortunately for us, we have Mark Cuban, and Mark Cuban has money. He also throws a pretty decent party, as noted by last year’s Dallas Mavericks NBA Championship Parade. Cuban has graciously funded this year’s parade so our social lives may live to see (any maybe not remember) another festive leprechaun-themed melee.
Granada Theater, located on Greenville Avenue, is just as stoked as the rest of the drunken Dallas population, and has thus dedicated their marquis to Mr. Cuban and his never-ending bank account. Party on, Dallas. Party on, Mark.
