My son Sean, our dog Major and I headed off to the Ball Park to watch the Rangers beat the Angels yesterday. It was a real “treat” for Major and for us. The Ball Park arranged for the dogs (and owners) to parade around the baseball field prior to the game. Then, we all hung out together and watched the game. Petco provided each dog a bag of goodies, including a bandana, a water bowl and dog treats. The Ball Park officials were kind enough to provide water for those of us who came ill prepared for the pre-game heat. We stood in a long line prior to the parade commencement, but every one, including owners, were well behaved.
Here are three reasons why you should participate the next time the Ball Park holds this event:
1. You get to walk inside the Park. This was a first for Sean, Major and me.
2. It was really fun matching up dog owners and their pets.
3. The dogs were really well behaved during the game except for Major, who took issue with a dog four times his size in the second inning.
One side note. If you don’t already know, Lexus offers free valet parking next to the stadium if you arrive in your Lexus.
