Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders: Making the Team (Behind the Scenes)

Posted by    |    June 20th, 2012 at 4:34 pm

Yesterday, a one of the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders woke up with blonde hair and a side part. Today, she has dark brown hair, parted down the middle. It’s all just part of the job.

We caught up with the girls at one of their training camps at Gilley’s yesterday to shoot a behind the scenes look at season 7 of CMT’s Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders: Making the Team. The new season debuting this September will go beyond the training camps, showing more in-depth storylines, drama, and dance.

At 2:45PM on Monday, after driving two hours from her quaint home outside the city, country singer Ali Dee floats into the YouPlusDallas office wearing a flowered purple top and glowing smile. An effervescent personality, she greets each member of our staff with a handshake and a warm “hello” before sitting down with our Creative Director for an interview, the first of many this week, I’m sure. Her once low-key lifestyle will soon quicken its pace. She’ll go from a regular Texas resident to being recognized everywhere within a matter of weeks as the nation tunes in to take a peek inside her life.

Dee is one of four women who will star in CMT’s newest reality show Texas Women, which premieres tonight, July 14th. CMT is putting Texas on the reality circuit with their latest show featuring the lives of four beautiful women living in Fort Worth, Texas. (more…)

“If you’ve ever watched CMT between the hours of 3 and 4 am, you might have seen this music video. Or if you’re a night nurse, or work at Waffle House, you might have seen it too.” The Rich O’Toole Band embraces their status as an up-and-coming act that hasn’t yet had appropriate airtime. They are opening for Rodney Atkins at the Granada Theater, and the plaid-clad crowd is singing along and Jersey Shore fist-pumping to lyrics that resound their life experiences.

Their energy is contagious, and even though I retired my love of country music years ago, (the California kid in me pretends that Lady Danville and the Silversun Pickups are much cooler) I am an instant fan. And it doesn’t hurt that lead singer Rich is a sexy beast.
