Unless you live in a cave you know by now that Snoop Dog/Lion (whatever) is going to be playing on Greenville for this year’s St.Patricks day celebration. This combined with the general beer fueled madness of this Irish holiday means that Dallas is going to be lit up like a green firecracker this weekend and before all that expression of Irish pride turns your brain to mush mode you might want to start slow and take in a little art culture, a calm before the storm kind of thing.
From 6pm to midnight tonight The Arts District’s Spring Break Block Party offers the perfect way to ease into the weekend with FREE admission to the Dallas Museum of Art ,the Nasher and the Crow Collection. That’s right all three are free, plus there will be live street music from King Bucks AND an outdoor screening of the one of the best movies ever, The Fantastic Mr.Fox. Yes all of this is free too, and if you find yourself needing a little night time snack just hit up one of the many food trucks that will be offering their food services (sadly this will not be free). So if your looking for a fun and inspiring way to start your Spring Break/St. Patricks day weekend then come out tonight and soak up the beautiful weather and the beautiful art.
