Dallas Film Society has partnered with Dallas Videofest and the Texas Independent Film Network to bring shed light on some great Texas-made indie films and give Dallasites the opportunity to meet the filmmakers.

We present NOW FORAGER, at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 6. Directors Jason Cortlund and Julia Halperin present the story of foragers Lucien and Regina — they gather wild mushrooms and sell them to New York restaurants. Their lifestyle is simple, their income unstable. As Regina seeks more stability and Lucien wants to devote himself to full-time nomadic foraging, their individual pursuits put their marriage to the test. It is a food lovers’ film that has receive acclaim from festival programmers and critics across the globe. {via dallasfilm.org}
