I’m not going to pretend that the two things that excite me most about Sunday’s Super Bowl aren’t the commercial breaks and the possibility of a Destiny’s Child reunion. But I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: I’ll watch pretty much anything at a watching party. Because really, what’s the point of watching anything if there’s no one next to you to make comments with? None. Exactly.
Here are some Dallas bars and restaurants we think sound like the perfect place to sit with friends, drink some beer, and make comments about the Super Bowl – and Beyonces legs.
Enjoy Super Bowl 47 on the Granada’s HD 30 foot screens with concert sounds, brisket tacos, and beer bucket specials. The best part? The folks at the Granada are just as excited about Beyonce’s half-time show as we are. Call 214-824-9933 to reserve a great seat for you and your friends. Walk-ups are welcome, plenty of seating is available. The party starts at 5 p.m.
$50 guarantees you a seat at one of the best Super Bowl parties in Dallas, unlimited food, six drinks (that’s worth it right there), raffle tickets, and a swag bag full of good things. The best part? The party is being held at all three Frankie’s locations, so you can get in on the action no matter where you live in Texas. Check out their Facebook page for more information. The party starts at 3 p.m.
It’s the equivalent of going to an all-inclusive hotel for Spring Break, which is the best decision anyone can ever make. For $108.25 (super specific) The Nodding Donkey in Uptown is offering a lunch and dinner buffet, all drinks included. There will also be games like a strongman competition, and raffle prizes. $10 from each ticket purchased will go to the Make-A-Wish foundation. Make sure to purchase your ticket at the Uptown Nodding Donkey location before the big day. The party starts at 2 p.m.
Take advantage of the evening’s competitive spirit starting a competition of your own. A bowling competition that is. Less violent, but no less important. Game sound will be provided on all speakers with unlimited bowling from 5 p.m. to close for $100 a lane (up to 8 guests). Your $100 includes a Super Bowl Appetizer Party Pack with Rudolph’s B&B Melt, Barrel Dogs, Giant Pretzels, Ghost Pepper Peanuts, Frites w/ Trappist Aioli. The party starts at 5 p.m.
How appropriate! For those low on change, the patio is open for free seating, extra TVs and heaters, but this is the Super Bowl, y’all. Go big or go home and fork over the $50 it takes to sit inside and we’re thinking it’s probably worth is to spend the $50 to $100 for VIP. Special themed entrees for the San Francisco 49ers and the Baltimore Ravens, plenty of great food and TVS, and a prime location for Super Bowl Sunday. The party starts at 4:30 p.m.
