Playing a 1958 Fender Stratocaster, Alex Chadwick created a video of 100 guitar riffs in one take showcasing a chronological history of rock n’ roll. The Chicago Music Exchange lists out the music we presume was selected by Chadwick. Each song is a great one, and we particularly enjoyed rediscovering songs such as Pictures of Matchstick Men by Camper van Beethoven which can be found at the 7:10 mark. According to the Hufffington Post, Chadwick admitted to MSNBC that he did not complete the 100 riffs in one take. While the concept is not a new one, we tip our hat to Chadwick for creating this fine work and for the music selection. Buddy Holly played a 1958 Fender Stratocaster hours before the 1959 plane crash that took his life. This article is also well written on the topic.
