SXSW Interactive: Now & Then

Austinites are currently experiencing a higher volume of traffic than usual because today is the first day of SXSW 2012! And, because the freeways surrounding that city are seriously poorly constructed. Let’s take a look back at some of our favorite SXSW Interactive moments from last year.

Here, I shall reminisce on a time when I learned to befriend those wearing kilts, and how to interact with people face to face, instead of twitter handle to twitter handle.

In this video, I met with Social Media guru Erik Qualman, who has spoken to a sold out crowd at Social Media Club Dallas. I was also reminded of how short I am.

Finally, I met with chronic entrepreneur Robert Scoble. He does a dance when I say his name. It’s awkward.

AMBER CASE

“Ambient Location and the Future of the Interface”

Amber Case is a cyborg anthropologist and user experience designer from Portland, Oregon. She has been featured in Forbes, WIRED, and many other publications, both in the United States and around the world. Her main focus is mobile software, augmented reality and data visualization, and reducing the amount of time and space it takes for people to connect.
